I love painting animals as they remind me of our deep connection to them, to all of nature, and to our own hearts. In many Shamanic traditions the role of Power Animals, Medicine Animals, or Totem Animals plays a big role. They are helping spirits that comes in animal form. Once you have made contact with a Power Animal you can honor it by having its image in your home, and a painting is also a reminder of their presence in your life.
