I was born in Mexico by Peruvian and Norwegian parents, and I grew up in Sweden. Since 2010 I live with my husband, our son, and dog in Virginia, USA.
The early part of my life was challenging in many ways, but this sparked my spiritual journey. And I have experienced first hand that hardship and pain contains the possibility of immense growth and learning. I studied art at Konstfack College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm 1989. However, after some years I realized that my true passion was my love for Mother Earth, and that my strongest desire was to know my own true nature. I embarked on a journey of exploring different spiritual traditions, and Shamanism and other Earth centered traditions resonated the most with me. Among others I studied with Derk Loeks, Sandra Ingerman, HeatherAsh Amara and Fredy Puma Quispe Singona, and I have found that the deepest teachings comes from listening within and to nature. And that nature, stillness, ceremony, and sitting in sharing circles together, are potent gateways into our own hearts, and to directly experience that we all are One.
Since 1995 I have attended yearly Circle Way Camps in different countries in Europe, with Medicine Story/Manitonquat and Ellika Lindén. It was during those camps that I discovered the immense healing power of Circles. It was like coming home, finding my tribe, and somehow connecting to an ancient memory of deep belonging, to all and everything that is alive. I have also participated in many Women’s Circles over the years, and that safe space for women to be vulnerable, celebrate, and to support each other, has been truly transformative and nourishing for me.
I’m a certified as a Stress Counselor, Voice Dialogue Facilitator, Jin Shin Jyutsu practicioner, Yoga Teacher, Sistership Circle Facilitator, and Warrior Goddess Facilitator. In 1995 I co-created and managed a center for personal growth and spiritual development, Gaia Center, in Stockholm. I also started School For Spiritual Ecology, and I co-created a study circle for Earth based spirituality. After moving to the US I took up painting again and found that my my passion for Mother Earth could be expressed through my art. I now work as a painter with a studio at the Torpedo Factory, Alexandria. I lead women’s circles, courses, and full moon circles. I’m so very excited to be able to share some of the tools, ceremonies and teachings I have received over the years!
